David Herman
David has almost 30 years of leadership experience as CEO and senior executive in tourism, leisure, entertainment and retail. He has worked across all sectors and major organisations, including Falls Creek Alpine Resort, Village Roadshow Ltd, Borders Books & Music – USA and Tourism North East (Regional Victorian Tourism Board). A lawyer by profession, David has a specialist understanding of regional tourism, regional visitor economy, consumer trends, and consumer behaviours.
Michael Shinton
Michael is highly fluent in property finance and held senior positions within multinational firms and some of Melbourne’s largest private family companies. His expertise lies in strategic acquisition, feasibility development, financing, construction and property and hotel commercial negotiations. He was a key member of the management team that launched and grew one of Australia’s most successful hotel brands, the Art Series Hotel Group.
Gregory Anderson
Gregory is highly experienced in property development having worked across private, corporate and government sectors. He has held CEO roles with Development Victoria, Places Victoria and Selpam Developments, and was the National Development Director at Macquarie Bank. Gregory has been responsible for over $20bn of property development across Australia. He has experience across all stages of property development including acquisition due diligence, finance, design procurement and sales and leasing.
Tom Monahan

In memory of Tom, we are grateful for his years of dedication and support to the industry at large.
Tom was an Axsia HTL director heading up the Singapore office. He was an expert in the Asia Pacific market, spending most of him time living and working in Singapore, Hong Kong and Jakarta. He started his career in IHG and moved up to senior finance and business development roles for Forte/Granada, Starwood, Wyndham and Carlson Rezidor before landing the role of CEO of Lipp Karawaci’s (Jakarta) Hospitality and Leisure Group.
Lloyd Parrant
Lloyd is Axsia HTL’s director of New Zealand and a veteran of the local market there. He has a deep understanding of the New Zealand property market including regulatory approvals and funding of debt and equity atop his extensive knowledge and experience in business, property, construction and tourism. He is an architectural designer, project manager and consultant and advisor to companies like GE Capital, Siemens, Macquarie Capital and other property development and investment companies.
